Brief
Yingli Solar, one of the world's leading PV solar manufacturers, approached our team with a unique challenge. They sought our expertise to design a distinctive exhibition stand, aimed at reinvigorating their presence within the industry and ensuring unparalleled visibility amidst the multitude of renewable and solar energy displays at the prestigious All Energy Conference in Melbourne.
Insights
In our initial discovery, we found that the events industry as a whole contributes up to 10% of total greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. This impact stems from factors like the materials utilised, energy consumption, and transportation logistics involved in facilitating events. As part of our commitment to the environment, and in alignment with Yingli Solar’s sustainability values, we aimed to craft a stand with the intention of having the lowest footprint possible.
Outcome
The final design was not only visually beautiful and unique, it also incorporated modular elements that allow for longevity of use and utilised 99% of materials that will be reused, repurposed or recycled in their second life. Additionally, we tracked and calculated any unavoidable carbon emitted during the production and offset it to ensure the entire project was carbon neutral.
